Blog 3.

So, today is election day.

I am 16 years old, so I legally can not vote.

But I hope that whoever becomes the next President

Will make the right choices for the U.S.

Who do you think should win?

Comment me your opinions!

I've written even more poems (some older than others)

But I hope you like them!

Comment your opinions please.

Don’t Let Me Fall.
Those eyes of yours
Sparkle in the night
In outer space
We’re at the perfect height
Into the air
Then into the blue waves
Moments like these
Are the ones time saves
And now we’re trembling
We are alone
Morning has never showed me
What you have shown
And you make
The stars grow brighter
And your kiss
Makes me feel lighter
And now I’m leaving
To you, my all
Please hold on tight
Don’t let me fall.

That’s Just Fine.
Footsteps on the ground
But I don’t hear a sound
Shelter you from the storm
Keep you safe, keep you warm
Dirt in my eyes
Dirt in my hair
But if you don’t cry
I don’t care
I want to know you
More and more
From the surface
To the core
Fast and slow
Is the time we share
And I don’t know
If it’s fair
But I need
Your hand in mine
And if you want my heart
Then that’s just fine.

Just For You.
Music blaring in my ears
To drown out the noise of my tears
I’m so sick of living just like you
And never seeing my dreams come true
It is time for me to break through
I am finally done with you
Life is not so easy or kind
So quit acting like your so blind
To the suffering around us all
And the fighting soldiers who took the fall
So you could get yours and I get mine
And see the next day’s sunshine
It seems so hard to be so fake
But you will never make one mistake
I won’t keep on the path you ask me to walk
It’s my decision when I breathe and talk
I wish you could somehow see
How happy I am now that I’m free
The world is real, and like it or not
The time we have is not a lot
I‘m sure you love that this is for you
The sad thing is that it’s all true
So now I’ll leave you with this note
That I took time for you and wrote.

Shook.
I turn it on
Just like a lamp
I turn it off
When I get a chance
I try to smile
Though I want to cry
I’ll run a mile
And I will try
Just as hard
as you would
Play that card
I understood
I was just a silly toy
Just another silly boy
One more mess up
One more try
You would put down
I would cry
Did I think you had a heart?
Yes, indeed
That wasn’t smart
From me
you took
and took
and took
I was pages with no book
I was eyes that could not look
I was what would feel your hook
I was shaken
I was shook.

Post 2.

So, I decided to sleep in late today.

I just ate a bowl of cereal, but it's 1:05 in the afternoon.

I wanted to share with you all a poem I've written a while back.

Hopefully you enjoy it. :)

Goodnight Moon.
Sit back think
Of how we were
8 years old
And immature
Dancing in the summer heat
Dirty hands and dirty feet
The little things seemed so grand
And I had nothing in my hand
I remember the starry nights
With no yelling and no fights
Time together tasted sweet
Sugary smiles in my teeth
Coloring books and finger paint stains
Listening to angels’ songs in the rain
I had joy not long ago
At 8 years old, I didn’t know
About war and guilt and pain and shame
Or making fun of others to dodge the blame
Just hugs and hearts and a big, fat grin
And “I Love You” again and again
Those words that are so soft and sweet
Come out when the sun and the moon meet
I wish those days would come back soon
But days go by, leaving the moon.
Goodnight moon.

I know, it needs work, but I am still glad that I wrote it. It is about growing up and seeing the world in different views than when reality sets in. I would really appreciate some comments and opinions of it, also.

This is one of my absolute favorite things to make....VEGAN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!!

Here is the recipe:
